Biography
Rahul Ravindran (born June 23, 1981) is an Indian actor, film director, and screenwriter who works in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi cinema. He began his acting career in Tamil cinema with the romantic drama *Moscowin Kavery* (2010) before making his breakthrough in Telugu cinema as the lead in the romantic drama *Andala Rakshasi* (2012). Over the next decade, he balanced lead and supporting roles across features including the romantic comedy *Ala Ela* (2014), the action drama *Srimanthudu* (2015), the mystery thriller *U Turn* (2018), and the period romance *Sita Ramam* (2022). He later made his Hindi screen debut in the prison break thriller *Jigra* (2024). In 2018, Ravindran made his feature directorial and screenwriting debut with the romantic drama *Chi La Sow*, which won the National Film Award for Best Original Screenplay. He subsequently directed the romantic comedy *Manmadhudu 2* (2019) and helmed the romantic drama *The Girlfriend* (2025), which he also wrote. His further acting credits include the Tamil drama *The Great Indian Kitchen* (2023), the action thriller *They Call Him OG* (2025), and *Sing Geetham* (2026).
