Brett Whitcomb is an Emmy-nominated filmmaker with a catalog that oscillates between archive-rich nostalgic portraits of pop culture and observational snapshots of under-explored communities. His 2020 feature, Jasper Mall, premiered at Slamdance and was released on Amazon Prime and PBS. His 2022 feature, Butterfly in the Sky, explores the beloved PBS series Reading Rainbow and its host, LeVar Burton. Butterfly in the Sky premiered at the Tribeca Festival and was released on Netflix in 2024.
