Biography
Dounia Coesens (born in 1988 in Aix-en-Provence) is a French actress. After studying music at the Aix-en-Provence conservatory and training in acting at a local community center, she began her acting career on television. In 2004, at the age of 15, she gained wide public recognition playing the role of Johanna Marci in the series Plus belle la vie, a character she portrayed until 2014. Subsequently, she appeared in various television series and TV movies, notably playing recurring or lead roles in L'Art du crime, La Doc et le Véto, Demain nous appartient, and Tom et Lola. In cinema, she acted in Jean-François Davy's feature film Vive la crise! (2017), as well as in several short films. On stage, she has performed in theatre productions such as Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt's Si on recommençait and John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men.
