Biography

Animator, filmmaker, and artist born in 1977, based in Kiruna. Has created around forty short films and tv-series, most of which are animated. Primarily inspired by the nature, culture, and environment of northernmost Sweden. In 2005, directed the worlds first animated film in the minority language MeΓ€nkieli; Kaisa & Harax: The Moose painting. The Moose painting was selected for competition at the Annecy International Animation Festival in 2006. In 2007, together with HΓ₯kan Rudehill and Anton Raukola, founded the production centre Bortbyting. Has received the Filmsparken award in 2005, the Rubus Arcticus cultural grant in 2006, and in 2015 was awarded a scholarship from the Irma and Einar Forseth Cultural Fund. In 2021 the film The Great Overflow won the Pija Lindebaum award at Sundsvall Filmfest.
