Claude Boissol was a French film and television director and screenwriter, recognized for his contributions to mid-20th-century French cinema and television. Born in Paris, he began his career as an assistant director, collaborating with filmmakers such as Jacques Becker and Yves AllΓ©gret. Boissol made his directorial debut with Three Boys, One Girl (1948). His notable works include The Whole Town Accuses (1956) and Julie the Redhead (1959). In television, he co-created the long-running crime series Commissaire Moulin, which aired from 1976 to 2008. Boissol's work is characterized by its narrative depth and exploration of human relationships.
