Biography

Shruthi Chandrasena (born October 29, 1991), known professionally as Hariprriya, is an Indian actress who works predominantly in Kannada cinema, alongside appearances in Telugu and Tamil films. After debuting in Kannada films in the late 2000s, she made her Telugu cinema debut with the romantic drama *Thakita Thakita* (2010) and entered Tamil cinema with *Kanagavel Kaaka* (2010) and *Muran* (2011). She gained wider recognition in Telugu cinema playing Sindhu in the comedy-drama *Pilla Zamindar* (2011). In 2014, Hariprriya starred as Nitya in the action thriller *Ugramm*, earning a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Actress – Kannada. Her subsequent Kannada feature credits included *Ranna* (2015), the comedy-drama *Neer Dose* (2016), the romantic thriller *Ricky* (2016), and the detective comedy *Bell Bottom* (2019). Outside Kannada cinema, she appeared in the Telugu action drama *Jai Simha* (2018) and the Tamil thriller *Naan Mirugamaai Maara* (2022). Her later releases include *Petromax* (2022) and the crime thriller *Yadha Yadha Hi* (2023).
