Joy Awards

The 2022 Joy Awards ceremony was held on January 27 in Riyadh as part of Riyadh Season, with Bakr Alshaddi Theater welcoming hundreds of Arab and international stars. The evening honored outstanding talents in cinema, television, music, sports, and other fields, and featured spectacular live performances by Arab stars such as Mohammed Abdo, Kadim Al Sahir, Ahlam, and others. John Travolta received the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Salman Khan was named Personality of the Year.

The 2023 Joy Awards ceremony was held on January 21 at Bakr Alshaddi Theater in Riyadh as part of Riyadh Season. The event welcomed international and regional stars and celebrated achievements across various entertainment fields, including cinema, television, music, sports, and digital content. The ceremony featured spectacular live performances by artists such as global rapper Rema, Nancy Ajram, Mohamed Mounir, and Rashed Al Majed. It also honored prominent figures, including Sofía Vergara, who received the Personality of the Year award, while global icons Amitabh Bachchan and Michael Bay were recognized for their lifetime achievements, along with many other stars from the Arab world, making the ceremony a night of elegance and world-class entertainment.

Riyadh hosted the 2024 Joy Awards ceremony on January 20. The highly anticipated event welcomed hundreds of Arab and international stars, honoring global icons such as Sir Anthony Hopkins and Kevin Costner with Lifetime Achievement Awards. Eva Longoria received the Personality of the Year award, while Elie Saab was presented with the Joy Awards Diamond Award, alongside many other recipients of honorary Joy Awards and winners across various categories. The ceremony featured world-class performances by Gloria Gaynor, Nagat El Saghira, Amr Diab, Bebe Rexha, Abdul Majeed Abdullah, and others, making it a spectacular celebration of talent from around the world.

On January 18, 2025, Riyadh hosted the Joy Awards ceremony, where Christina Aguilera performed a medley of her greatest hits, followed by a remarkable duet by Andrea Bocelli and Mohammed Abdo, as well as outstanding performances by Michael Bublé and Wael Kfoury. Jonathan Moffett brought incredible energy with his legendary drumming performance, while Tamer Hosny and Nelly Karim delivered a vibrant blend of music and dance. The ceremony honored Matthew McConaughey with the Personality of the Year award. Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to Morgan Freeman, Hans Zimmer, Andrea Bocelli, Yasser Al Azmeh, Abdullah Al Ruwaished, Abdullah Al Muhaisen, and Gikwang Yun. The event also recognized the winners of 19 audience-voted awards across various categories. The 2026 Joy Awards ceremony was held on January 17 at ANB Arena in Riyadh as part of Riyadh Season, bringing together leading Arab and international stars. The event celebrated excellence across entertainment, honoring winners in 19 audience-voted categories. The evening featured world-class performances by Katy Perry, Robbie Williams, Ayed, Il Divo, Liz Mitchell, Angham, Marcin, and others. Millie Bobby Brown received the Personality of the Year award, while Forest Whitaker and Farouk Hosny were honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards. The ceremony also presented honorary and Diamond Awards to several distinguished figures. Watched by millions across the region, the event reinforced the Joy Awards’ status as one of the world’s premier entertainment celebrations.
