For the first time in The Amazing Race history two countries will be pitted against each other in The Amazing Race Australia vs. New Zealand! The Trans-Tasman rivalry will get a new playing field when ten teams of two – five from Australia and five from New Zealand – race through ten countries, six continents and almost 90,000kms in the true adventure of a lifetime. The last team to finish each leg faces the prospect of elimination, and the team that finishes first at the end will collect the grand prize of $250,000. What tactics will play out in the Race? Will teams bond under their national flag, or will ambition and personal pride triumph over patriotism?

After a five year hiatus, The Amazing Race Australia is finally returning to our screens. Now, with a move in network from Seven to Channel 10, and a new show host, with former NRL player and television personality Beau Ryan taking the helm. Eleven Australian couples will be pushed to their limits in a series of bizarre challenges in the hopes of finishing first and taking home the $250,000 prize money.

The Amazing Race follows 14 teams as they travel across the world working out challenges as fast as possible, competing for a $250,000 prize. But travel all across the world is shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic... So this year pairs of friends, exes, parents, cousins, brothers and twins are travelling around Australia instead.

Australia, dust off your passports and get your bags packed as The Amazing Race Australia is back for another big adventure, and this year we are racing around the world! As international borders open up across the globe, so does the endless possibilities for the intrepid teams who will be racing across six continents and experiencing the extraordinary delights of international destinations such as Turkey, Greece, Belize, Morocco, Mexico and Colombia. The Amazing Race Australia is hosted by Beau Ryan and filled with amazing places and amazing people.

From an Olympic sporting legend to a comedian, a former Wiggle and an international reality heartthrob, 11 celebrity racers and their loved ones will trade in their luxe lives for a life on the run. Our celebrities and their race partners will be met at the starting line by loveable larrikin and host Beau Ryan, who will be sure to throw twists and turns their way as they race across the globe. From culture shock, meagre budgets and the pressure of a non-stop race, our star racers will be tested in ways we’ve never seen before.
