After Marise's departure as fraction chairman, the VPN is divided over who should replace her.

Tim's appearance on Suus' talk-show is a complete disaster, while Michaël investigates a school board's mysterious investments.

On the evening before Prinsjesdag Suus' talk-show is set to air a potentially boring episode, but Tim turns it into an interesting show. Meanwhile, Dara visits a play about refugees and Corine has a meeting with an SGP party member.

Jan is distracted due to a personal matter. Michaël is still investigating the fraudulent school board.

Interim fraction leader Dara organizes a brainstorming session on energy, but feels pressure from Jan, who also holds a position in a nuclear energy lobby group. Jan and Corine decide to fight back after a negative article on their daughter.

After his speech Tim has a strange encounter with a desperate woman in a parking garage.

Jan and Corine hold a press conference to present their plan on loverboys, while Tim introduces his controversial energy plan in a television interview. Meanwhile, Vincent's drinking causes problems at work and at home.

A hostage situation in Mali shocks the VPN fraction. Jan and Tim reveal Dara is also in Mali to film a documentary, and they can't seem to make contact with her.

After her experiences in Mali, Dara is unsure about her future as fraction leader and as a politician in general. Meanwhile, Vincent's drinking leads to serious problems, while Tim is protected by bodyguards after a death threat.

The election of the new fraction leader of the VPN comes to a close in Suus' talk-show. Also, Jan discovers the person behind the death treats against Tim, and Vincent finds himself on the verge of ruin.
