In Orario, fearless adventurers band together in search of fame and fortune within the underground labyrinth known as the Dungeon. But Bell Cranel, novice adventurer, has bigger plans than riches and glory; he fights monsters in the hope of having a fateful encounter with a girl. When this happens, it doesn't go exactly as he planned. Thus begins the story of an unlikely pair, a boy and a goddess, both trying to prove themselves, both eager to reach their goals.

As Hestia Familia gradually grows in size, Bell must contend with a number of threats from other gods and their familias, including Apollo, Ishtar, and Ares, all while continuing to strive to catch up to his idol Ais.

When Bell encounters a frightened little girl in the dungeon, he doesn’t think twice to help. But this simple act of kindness has consequences. The girl is a monster and proof that monsters can be eerily human. And not everyone can accept this...

Intrepid adventurer Bell Cranel has leveled up, but he can’t rest on his dungeoneering laurels just yet. The Hestia Familia still has a long way to go before it can stand toe-to-toe with the other Familias of Orario — but before Bell can set out on his next mission, reports of a brutal murder rock the adventuring community! One of Bell’s trusted allies stands accused of the horrible crime, and it’s up to Bell and his friends to clear their name and uncover a nefarious plot brewing in the dungeon’s dark depths.

As the labyrinth city of Orario prepares for the Goddess Festival, Bell Cranel looks forward to the festivities after his and Ryu's harrowing escape from the Dungeon's darkened depths. However, in a small tavern tucked away on a street corner, the single decision of a young woman causes a chain of events that throws Bell's life and the entire city into chaos.
