A musical spoof of "Bonanza," with Reggie Van Gleason as the patriarch of the "Pondersusie," who with his sons Little Joe (Art Carney) and Little Max (Jerry Bergen) defends the ranch from Black Bart (Milton Berle) who has sought revenge on those he holds responsible for his being sent to jail years before.

The Kramdens and Nortons have an encounter with a computer dating service while in Chicago.

While the Kramdens and Nortons are in Sun Valley, Idaho, Ralph is arrested for a crime he did not commit, as the real culprit is a dead ringer for him.

Jackie, Art Carney, Charlotte Rae, special guest Milton Berle and the "Reginald Van Gleason Conservator Players" star in a musical spoof of the legend of the Red Baron, with Reggie Van Gleason as a World War I flying ace and Milton as the Red Baron.
